Alexa and I are keeping things pretty simple on Valentine’s day. This year we’ll be enjoying a nice meal together and spending some quality time together. We love hanging at home with a cheese board and some craft cocktails. This year we’ve partnered with Cocktail & Sons to bring you 4 Cocktails you’re bound to fall in love with.

These recipes come to you from the minds of the husband and wife team behind Cocktail & Sons, Max Messier and Lauren Myerscough, award winning bartenders and spirits consultants based in New Orleans, LA. These cocktails are not only delicious, but take almost no time to whip up.
1. Streetcar Named Desire
This is Cassie’s new favorite cocktail. If you like a good whiskey sour, this drink is for you!
Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz. Bourbon**
3/4 oz C&S Mint & Lemon Verbena
3/4 oz Lemon Juice
5 Dashes aromatic bitters
** For a fun twist try this drink with peach bourbon
Instructions:
Add bourbon, Mint & Lemon Verbena, and lemon juice to a cocktail shaker. Top with ice and shake for 5-10 seconds. Pour over fresh ice. Add bitters and garnish with a lemon peel and mint sprig.
2. French 75
This classy cocktail is a delicious options that’s sure to sweeten and evening at home.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz. gin
3/4 oz C&S Oleo Saccharum
3/4 oz Lemon Juice
Prosecco
Instructions:
Add all ingredients (except Prosecco) to a cocktail shaker. Shake for 10 seconds. Strain into a flute glass and top with Prosecco. Garnish with a lemon peel.
3. Daisy
This old school cocktail is another take on the great classic whiskey sour.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz. Bourbon
1/2 oz C&S Spiced Demerara
1/2 oz Lemon Juice
1/4 oz triple sec
club soda
Instructions:
Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker. Shake for 5-10 seconds. Strain over fresh ice into a rocks glass. Top with club soda. Garnish with an orange peel
4. Champagne Cocktail
Pop the bubbly because this cocktail is fizzing fantastic!
Ingredients:
1/2 oz C&S Spiced Demerara
1/2 oz Brandy
4 dashes of aromatic bitter
Prosecco
Instructions:
Add Spiced Demerara, brandy and bitters to a chilled champagne flute. Top with chilled Prosecco
